LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A bizarre murder in Louisville has one mother grieving over her son's brutal death.
Ellen Jean Carroll is the mother of 37-year-old James Carroll. Police say James Carroll was murdered and buried in a basement over six months ago in Louisville.
Joseph Banis and Jeffrey Mundt, were arrested and charged with the murder after police responded to a domestic dispute at their home. It was in that home where Carroll's body was found.
Now, family members are preparing to burry Carroll at a Floyd County, Kentucky cemetery.
"Oh, my baby, what did I do to lose you?" the victim's mother Ellen Jean Carroll said. "How could they (the suspects) do that? I hope those two boys rot in hell."
Police say Carroll, Banis, and Mundt were in a sexual relationship and Banis and Mundt tried to steal drugs from Carroll and killed him.
