KNOX, IN (AP) - Authorities say a northwestern Indiana man was drunk when his pickup truck struck and killed a motorcyclist.
Forty-six-year-old Jack Haut of Knox has been charged with drunken driving causing death and reckless homicide in the death of 47-year-old Tom White of Knox.
The Post-Tribune of Merrillville says Haut's truck struck White's cycle head-on Friday on Indiana 8, just north of Knox in Starke County's Center Township.
The sheriff's department says Haut swerved into White's path just before the crash.
Haut was in the county jail Sunday, and it wasn't known if he has a lawyer.
