FRANKFORT, KY- (WAVE) - The Kentucky Freedom Festival attracted hundreds of Tea Party supporters to Frankfort Saturday. Those attending included Lynda Farley of Edmonton, Kentucky. She traveled 130 miles and arrived at the state capital in her vehicle dubbed "The Liberty Van."
The minivan is used to make political statements according to Farley who said she makes 90 percent of the decorations herself. Farley said she has traveled to 48 states in the van and wants to send a message to those who see the vehicle.
"I hope it will inspire some of them to get off their duffs (sic) and do something on their own," Farley said. " I think it has done its little bit to help. Maybe some of these people in the last four-and-a-half years and quarter of a million miles have said to themselves well gee 'If she can run around like that, the least I can do is go to a tea party.'"
