Woman charged after SUV plows into Lexington store

LEXINGTON, KY (AP) - Police in Lexington have charged a woman with DUI after her sport utility vehicle ran through the wall of a department store.

The Lexington Herald-Leader quoted police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts in reporting that Whitney Lochmueller also faces charges of wanton endangerment and criminal mischief.

Police suspect Lochmueller of being under the influence of drugs when her SUV struck another vehicle, a tree and then plowed through the exterior wall of a Kohl's store on Wednesday. Toxicology test results were pending.

Two children were in Lochmueller's vehicle and all three occupants were taken to a hospital.

The newspaper reports Lochmueller is the daughter of former University of Kentucky basketball standout Steve Lochmueller.
