Police looking for victim's family members after accident in Shepherdsville

SHEPHERDSVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Police in Shepherdsville need help notifying the family of a man who was injured when he hit by a car while walking Monday night. Police say 48-year-old Robert Spears was struck by a car just before 10:30 p.m. while walking on Kentucky 44 near Lees Valley Road.

He was taken to University Hospital for treatment of his injuuries.

Police say they do not plan to file charges against the driver of the vehicle that struck Spears.

"No charges are anticipated at this time," said Sgt. Jeremy Meyers with the Shepherds Police Department. "We are simply trying to contact Mr. Spears' family to advise them of this tragic accident."
