LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Saturday afternoon, a grassroots cookout was held for the Republican Party. Supporters ate hot dogs and burgers outside the Jefferson County Republican Party Headquarters on Champions Trace.
Third District Congressional candidate, Todd Lally, was there. The military man believes he is the best candidate for the seat. Lally said he supports Bush's 2001 tax credits, that he is waiting to see if the stimulus plan will work , and plans to help improve unemployment in the Commonwealth.
"We're looking for stability. Business is crying for stability. If the Republican Party...if we can offer stability, then you will see the economy improving on its own," Lally said.
Lally is running against Democratic Incumbent John Yarmuth and Independent Michael Hansen.
