RADCLIFF, KY (WAVE) - Police in Hardin County are investigating a shooting that left one woman dead.
According to Officer Bryce Shumate of the Radcliff Police, Zebedee Pitts walked into Radcliff Police headquarters around 9:30 a.m. on August 29 with a large cut, and told police he was assaulted.
Officers investigating the case went to Pitts' house at 950 Scenic Drive. Police say when they got to the house, they broke down the door and found a woman with a gunshot wound inside the house.
Police say the woman, Idella Pitts, the ex-wife of Zebedee Pitts, was alive. Idella Pitts was taken to University Hospital in Louisville, where she died later that afternoon.
Zebedee Pitts was treated and released at Ireland Army Hospital for cuts to the back of his head.
No arrests have been made. Investigators say they're looking for clues in the case.
