ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (WAVE) – Kentucky State Police have made a large pot bust in central Kentucky. According to a KSP spokesperson, troopers cut down more than 2,000 marijuana plants during a raid in Hardin County.
Trooper First Class Bruce Reeves, public affairs officer for the Elizabethtown post, said troopers went to the location in a field just west of the Elizabethtown weight station off I-65 around 10 a.m. on August 30.
Reeves called the bust a "significant hit." The street value of the marijuana is unknown.
