By Sam Schreiber - e-mail

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Louisville golf course is getting a million-dollar upgrade.

Mayor Jerry Abramson broke ground on work at the Charlie Vettiner course. The upgrade includes a pavilion, air-conditioned clubhouse, improved pro shop, and patio space for events.

Mayor Abramson said that initiatives like this one draw in outside businesses by improving local quality of life.

Work is expected to be finished by the beginning of the 2011 golf season.
