LOUISVILLE KY (WAVE) - One person died early Sunday in a two-vehicle accident near the intersection of Taylor Boulevard and Bluegrass Avenue early Sunday. A second person was injured.
The woman has been identified as 76-year-old Kui Leach.
Louisville Metro Police say Leach was driving south on Taylor Boulevard near Bluegrass Avenue around 4:30 a.m. Oct. 3 when she crossed the center line and stuck a Toyota pickup truck traveling north head-on.
Leach was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:50 a.m.
The Jefferson County Coroner's office says she died from severe injuries suffered in the crash.
The driver of the pickup truck was taken to University of Louisville Hospital for treatment.
Police say the roadway in the area was damp and may have been a contributing factor in the accident.
