LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - More than 10,000 people pounded the pavement, including cancer survivors, for Saturday's Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure.
It was perfect weather for the 15th annual event at the Waterfront. Last year's race helped raise $700,000.
Most people in the crowd wore pink - the symbol of the fight against breast cancer and wore the names of loved ones lost to the disease on their T-shirts.
The walk also helps educate women about the importance of early detection and prevention and raise money for life saving research.
