LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Karen Sypher has a new legal team headed by Washington D.C. attorney David B. Nolan.
That's according to a media advisory sent on October 19.
The team of three attorneys, assembled by Justice Watch, will officially announce on October 21 that they will be replacing Sypher's current attorney James Earhart.
Sypher was convicted in August of attempted extortion, lying to the FBI and retaliation against a witness.
The release says her team will file several motions including a demand to remove Judge Charles Simpson because of conflicts and biases with his involvement with the KFC Yum! Center.
We talked with attorney James Earhart, and he says he is still Sypher's attorney. A check of court records found no paperwork has been filed to switch legal representation.
