LOUISVILLE, KY. (AP) - An investigation by The Courier-Journal found Louisville narcotics detectives warned former Jefferson County prosecutor Matthew Conway that he was under investigation.

Detectives Ronald Russ and Scott Wilson have been placed in administrative jobs pending the outcome of an internal police inquiry. The Jefferson County Attorney's Office in August declined to bring charges against them after police completed a criminal investigation.

Documents show Conway, who is the brother of Kentucky Attorney General and Senate candidate Jack Conway, lied under oath about being warned of the drug investigations. Neither investigation resulted in charges against Matthew Conway, who is now an assistant commonwealth's attorney.
