NORTH VERNON, IN (AP) - Two southeastern Indiana men have died after the SUV they were riding in crashed during a high-speed chase.
The Republic of Columbus reports the crash killed 24-year-old Dustin Brown and 27-year-old Tim Brashear, both of North Vernon. Brown died at the scene of the crash near North Vernon late Friday, and Brashear died later at a Cincinnati hospital.
Jennings County sheriff's deputies tell the newspaper that the chase began after an SUV apparently driven by Brashear nearly collided with a patrol car at a rural intersection.
The SUV crashed a short time later into an embankment and part of a bridge and overturned several times, throwing both men from the vehicle.
