LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - One person is dead after a single vehicle crash in the 6100 block of Cane Run Road early Tuesday.
The coroner says Amanda McGaha was killed in the crash at Cane Run Road and Riverport Drive around 4:00 Tuesday morning.
Police say three people were inside the Chrysler when for some reason the driver lost control around 2:30 a.m. The car flipped several times before coming to rest beside a nearby business.
"There was a female and two males inside the vehicle," said LMPD spokesman Dwight Mitchell. "The female apparently was ejected from the vehicle. She and the two other individuals were taken to University Hospital, where the female was later pronounced dead."
No word yet on the condition of the two men, but police were interviewing them at University Hospital.
Cane Run Road was closed for several hours as crews worked to clear the scene.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash and believe speed may have been a factor.
