Hope Huling Blog

The first two weeks have been amazing! We're all doing such a great job. We've been working out with the trainers on Wednesday nights and Saturday mornings, as well as doing it on our own the rest of the week. The workouts are hard and the trainers are really supportive! We've also been on Wave 3 news twice.

On Wednesday nights we usually work out in the gym, and the hardest part is all of the running! On Saturday mornings we go outside so that's a nice change. The trainers (Robert, Amy, Andrea, Michelle...) cheer us on and push us harder each day.  When I'm on my own, I've been taking advantage of the free membership to the LAC in Clarksville.  A good friend of mine joined too so I've been using her as support throughout the week. I usually jump on the treadmill or elliptical in the Cardio Theater. The movies help me forget how long I'm working out.

The food takes a lot of planning. You HAVE to eat breakfast, which is hard for me. I'm used to just having coffee. Now I'm eating Quaker oatmeal. I eat a lot of chicken breast and turkey burger. I always have vegetables with every meal. If I'm craving something salty, I have some nuts, and if I'm craving something sweet I usually have a Carbmaster yogurt or some berries. I used to eat out every day for lunch and now I have to pack my meal and eat at work. I'm REALLY craving a scoop of pumpkin ice cream! haha!

So far, I've lost 8.4 lbs. I'm doing everything that I should be doing to make this a life change. I want to live a healthier life and feel good about myself. It'll be a long, hard road but I've got to do this for myself and to be a healthy role model for my 2 nieces.
