Planetarium to show final journey of Space Shuttle

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - University of Louisville's Gheens Science Hall and Rauch Planetarium will offer a free, public viewing of the final launch of NASA's space shuttle Discovery.

The Nov. 3 launch at 3:52 p.m. from Florida's Kennedy Space Center wraps up nearly 30 years of space travel for the shuttle.

The countdown and blast off will be shown live on the planetarium's 55-foot dome. The event will include activities for kids and video highlights from past shuttle missions. Doors open at 3:15 p.m.
