LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Bullitt County clerk Kevin Mooney says a smooth night of counting votes came to an abrupt stop when they found out a corrupt memory card about 8 p.m.
"The corrupted memory card cannot be fixed, according to our tech support, so we'll have to use the paper tape," Mooney said.
Mooney says each paper ballot voting machine includes a paper tape in case of a technology issue. Workers will manually enter those numbers from the paper tape.
As of 8 p.m., 73 of 96 precincts had been entered.
The other issue they've encountered is two poll workers near the Bernheim area left a memory card in a voting machine.
A Bullitt Circuit Court judge ordered that the workers, a representative of each party from the Board of Elections and a sheriff's deputy retrieve the memory card.
