Kentucky gets grants to help those victimized by crimes

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Kentucky is receiving millions of dollars in grants to help victims of crime and domestic violence. 

The grant money totaling almost 5.5 million dollars will be divided between dozens of programs. 

Just over $107,000 will go towards serving the crime victims of Jefferson, Bullitt, Oldham, Shelby, and Spencer counties, and The Family & Children's Place will get $282,000 to serve those same counties.

In Jefferson county the Elder-Serve's Senior Crime Victims' Assistance Program will be getting $113,000 of the grant money.
