LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Louisville Metro Police are investigating a crash that killed one person Saturday night.
It happened in Southwest Jefferson County on Old Third Street Road south of Outer Loop. Police say around 8:45 p.m., a red Pontiac Firebird was headed east on the road when the driver lost control and went into oncoming traffic. The car hit a white minivan.
Police say a passenger in the car was killed and the driver in the car was critically injured.
Investigators think slick roads might have been a factor.
"It is curvy and somewhat narrow through here, and it appears that might have been a factor in the accident, said LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell.
Police say two people in the van were hurt. The victims in the crash haven't been identified yet.
