The University of Louisville men's soccer team earned the top seed in the 2010 NCAA Tournament after winning the BIG EAST regular season title and the BIG EAST Tournament title. It is the fourth consecutive NCAA tournament bid for the Cardinals who earned the automatic bid after winning their first BIG EAST Tournament title.

Head Coach Ken Lolla guided the Cardinals to an unprecedented season with an overall record of 16-0-3 and a perfect 9-0-0 record in the BIG EAST.

Since taking over the program five years ago, Lolla has guided the Cardinals to four straight NCAA Tournament appearances. Lolla has also guided the Cardinals to four consecutive double digit win seasons for the first time in school history. Louisville won the BIG EAST Red Division after being picked to finish second in the preseason poll.
