LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Police have arrested a man and charged him with murder and robbery after a woman was found strangled in her apartment in PRP.

LMPD officers found 27-year-old Ashley Davis dead inside her home in the 5600 block of Fox Horn Circle just after 1 p.m. on Nov. 16. She had been strangled.

According to the arrest report, 32-year-old Michael Dion Greene was seen driving Davis's car in the 2200 block of Preston. Police recovered Davis's cell phone from the vehicle. Greene was found hiding in an apartment on Nov. 16 and taken into custody.

Metro police say Davis had filed an emergency protective order against Greene but, it had not been served to him. In it Davis alleged Greene was abused drugs and she was afraid of him and wanted him to stay away.

Connie Parker says an October 30th incident at her home of Lindcomb Avenue involving Greene left Davis with a busted lip, and bruises to her side and arms.

"It was a shock," said Davis' mother Connie Parker. "She's 27, she's got a son who is 3 1/2 and she is never going to see grow up. She's my only daughter. I'll never see her grow up."

Connie Parker says Greene and her daughter had dated but, Ashley was thinking about reconciling with her ex-husband.

Greene is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections on a $20,000 full cash bond.
