First family celebrates Thanksgiving

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WAVE) - The first family handed out turkey dinners and the fixing's today at a Washington, D.C. charity center.

It's the second consecutive year the first family and close friends have volunteered at the "Martha's Table" pantry.

The president also decided to deliver his weekly presidential address in honor of Thanksgiving.

"To every American, I am thankful for the privilege of being your president," said President Obama. "To all our service members stationed around the world, I am honored to be your commander-in-chief. And from the Obama family to yours, have a very happy Thanksgiving."
