LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - New details are coming out about a probationary LMPD officer that was arrested after a fight at a bar early Saturday morning.
Louisville Metro Dept. of Corrections records show an LMPD officer arrested 24-year-old Lauren Fanning on charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, assault 3rd degree on a police officer, assault 4th degree (minor injury) and alcohol intoxication in a public place.
Fanning's arrest happened after a fight outside Molly Malone's Irish Pub & Restaurant in St. Matthews.
WAVE 3 has learned police also arrested Fanning's sister, Kathryn Fanning that night.
Police say Kathryn Fanning and Lauren Fanning were being kicked out of the bar for throwing a drink at a customer. According to court records, when an LMPD detective tried to escort them out, Kathryn allegedly kicked the officer in the groin.
Both sisters were taken to jail and released on their own recognizance. They are both facing charges of resisting arrest and assault on an officer.
Fanning has been placed on paid administrative leave, standard procedure for LMPD, until the case is resolved.
