LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Testimony continued Thursday in the second day of a deaf, homeless man's double murder trial.
Twenty-eight-year-old Jeston Murray is accused of killing two people almost two years ago.
Michael Knights pleaded guilty to the murders, but a jury trial is underway for Murray, who says he was just an eyewitness to the murders.
Police say Murray and Knights killed 72-year-old Darrell Spencer the weekend after Christmas in 2008. A few days later they're accused of killing 34-year-old Marcus Penny.
One of Penny's friends who found his body took the stand Thursday morning. "I went up to him and said Marcus get up, and his eyes were open. I looked down and saw the blood and glass and that's how I knew," Qishona Freeman said.
This morning jurors also saw a graphic video that police shot of the crime scene. Murray is charged with murder, robbery, burglary, and tampering with physical evidence.
