LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Potential homeowners who want to live in the Hallmark Neighborhood of Louisville can take advantage of a special workshop.

Metro Councilwoman Mary Woolridge (D-3) says the Homeowner Outreach Workshop will give valuable information on buying a home.  That includes savings and credit needs for homeowners, and other steps in the homeowner process.

Eligible buyers can receive up to $10,000 of downpayment assistance when purchasing in the area.

"The Hallmark Neighborhood is a wonderful place to live and raise a family," says Councilwoman Mary Woolridge. "With the help of the Louisville Urban League, this workshop is a way to make purchasing a home in this community easier."

That workshop, presented by the Louisville Urban League's Center for Housing and Financial Empowerment,  is planned for December 9 at 5:30 p.m. at H. Temple Spears, located at 1515 Cypress Street on the corner of Cypress & Hill Streets.  Call the Urban League at (502) 566-3362 for more information.
