Father admitted to hurting his 2-month-old son

EVANSVILLE, IN (WAVE) - An injured baby boy was put on life support at an Indianapolis hospital. His father was charged in the case.

Police said 19-year-old Paul Kemmerer Jr. admitted to hurting his son.  Investigators said the child may not survive.

Kemmerer confessed to police that around Thanksgiving he went to push his fiance and missed hitting his 2-month-old son.

Todd Seibert, an Evansville police detective explained, "He was interviewed two or three times denied any involvement, he was arrested on an unrelated domestic battery warrant, went to the Vanderburgh County jail to speak with again and then he finally admitted to what transpired to the injuries to his child."

The criminal complaints claimed that during Kemmerer's arguments he becomes so enraged that he blacks out.
