Crews battle house fire and cold

LOUISVILLE (WAVE) - Firefighters battled both flames and the cold at a house fire early Monday in the 2900 block of South Fourth Street.

The call went out around 5:45 a.m. to a vacant home on fire. Crews called in extra help to get the flames knocked down and to allow firefighters to get out of the cold for short periods of time.

Firefighters brought the blaze under control around 7:30 a.m. No injuries were reported.

No word yet on what started the fire.
