Homicide detectives join search for woman missing since September

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Homicide detectives are now involved in the search for a woman who hasn't been seen since late September.

According to police 48-year-old Debrah Lucas (who goes by Debbie), was last seen around 1 a.m. Sept. 26 at 4th and M Street.

The last person known to have spoken to her is her boyfriend, who says he talked to her on the phone later that evening as she was on her way home.

A missing person's report was filed on Sept. 29 when Debbie did not return home and after she could not be reached by phone after numerous attempts.

Debbie's family says it's unusual for her not to keep in contact with them on a daily basis, and they are worried about her safety.

Although police have received several phone calls since we first reported her missing on Dec. 17, they have been unable to find her. If you've seen Debbie Lucas or think you may know where she is, you're asked to call the anonymous LMPD crime tipline at 502-574-LMPD (574-5673).
