NEW ALBANY, IN (WAVE) - Dogs are up for adoption after being rescued from a southern Indiana puppy mill. The dogs were in very unhealthy living conditions.
There were 37 dogs that went to the New Albany Floyd County Animal Shelter after the raid in Bloomfield. The director of the shelter said 22 of those dogs are now up for adoption.
A $3,000 grant from PetSmart charities and a local dog grooming shop was able to bring the dogs back to good health.
The dogs range in age from two to eight years old. Call 812-948-5355 for more information.
