LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Kentucky could be the next state to ban the sale of a herb similar to marijuana.
The herb is known as K2 or spice and it has already been banned in several states. State Representative John Tilley has pre filed a bill to outlaw the synthetic drug. The Democrat from Hopkinsville said the spice-based product is gaining a foothold in the state. Representative Tilley, who chairs the Judiciary Committee, played a key role in 2010 in a new law that bans psychoactive plant salvia.
Health officials say K2 could cause panic attacks and hallucinations.
