LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A major winter storm is snarling flights all along the Eastern seaboard, forcing the cancellation of thousands of flights and disrupting the plans of tens of thousands of passengers.
"Our flight was canceled three different times," said traveler Dennis Curtis.
Travelers were dealing with the weather headaches at Louisville International Airport Sunday.
Many were dealing with their flights being delayed or canceled. Airlines canceled flights, mostly in the mid-Atlantic region and the Northeast. Delta says it's canceled about 850 flights.
Those cancellations and delays have had a ripple effect for travelers in Kentuckiana.
"She's delayed out of Chicago," said Wendy Sadler. Sadler was waiting for her daughter. "She took off from Omaha, Nebraska this morning and it was fine, then she was delayed out of O'Hare."
Eugene Howard was waiting for his friend for an hour. "His flight was delayed in Birmingham," said Howard.
