LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A female inmate who walked away from a minimum security prison early Saturday morning, was apprehended nine hours later.
State Police say Laura Chase walked out of the Kentucky Correctional Institution for women in Pewee Valley, they noticed her missing just before 3:00 a.m.
Chase was caught Sunday afternoon in Munfordville, KY by Hart County Deputy Sheriff Chris Edwards. She is currently being held in Hart County Jail.
Chase was serving an 11 year sentence for making meth. She was eligible for parole in October 2012.
