State Police rounding up drug suspects

ASHLAND, KY (AP) - Kentucky State Police are rounding up drug suspects in eastern Kentucky.

A yearlong investigation by the agency had resulted in 15 arrests by late Tuesday afternoon and more were expected Wednesday.

A news release from the Ashland post of the KSP said the suspects were involved in illegal narcotics trafficking in Boyd, Greenup and Carter counties.

Those arrested by Tuesday were held in local jails on 26 drug charges ad one charge of wanton endangerment of a child.

Most of the arrests so far were of people from Ashland.
