LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Senate President David Williams had strong words for the Jefferson County Schools Board of Education during his time in Louisville on Wednesday.

During his speech at the Louisville Forum, the Republican Gubernatorial candidate, Williams made a comment implying that the Jefferson County Teachers Association owned members of the Jefferson County Public School Board.

Four of the board members commented on David Williams' opinion of JCTA owning the board, all of them said that it is not true, including the newly elected chair.

JCPS Board of Education Chair Stephen Imhoff said that Williams is now wrong about two things: the student assignment plan, and JCTA owning the board.
