Community leader holding walk to draw attention to open murder cases

Louisville, KY - LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Loved ones of murder victims who were killed over the last 50 years are coming together in Louisville in February to ask the community for help.

They're planning to meet at Jefferson Square during the second week of February to "Walk for Answers."

Community activist Christopher 2X is helping organize the event for victims of open and cold murder cases who desperately want closure and justice.

People of all ages are expected to take part in the walk, including 11-year-old Tyler Crouch who spoke Monday about his two brothers who were shot and killed in 2009. They were just 17 and 21.

"We're sad that you are gone, but you're in our hearts and that's why we're doing this event," Crouch said. "We are not going to forget you and we also want answers, because when my brothers were killed it was horrible because I was so close to both of them."

The "Walk for Answers" has been scheduled for February 13, 2011.
