LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Desert Storm Veterans are working to create a national memorial.
Veterans spent time in Kentuckiana talking about their mission. Scott Stump and John Jordan spoke at the Kentucky State American Legion meeting Saturday.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the war. Jordan and Stump are in the beginning stages of spear-heading efforts to create a national memorial in Washington, D.C. to honor the 293 lives lost.
"We've got to remember and commemorate each other," said Scott Stump. "Not just for ourselves, but for future generations so that they know the sacrifices made by men and women."
