7 Shepherdsville city workers laid off

SHEPHERDSVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The City of Shepherdsville is cutting jobs due to budget cuts.

On Feb. 9, Mayor Scott Ellis confirmed that seven workers will lose their jobs. WAVE 3 has reported that layoffs could happen because of a $4 million budget shortfall.

The laid off employees are from the Public Works Department and include support staff from the Shepherdsville Police Department.
