BURLINGTON, KY (WAVE) - The Boone County Sheriff's Department is actively searching for a 3-week-old child believed is currently with his parents who are suspected of suffering from severe drug addictions, and thus incapable of properly caring for the infant.

On Friday, February 18, 2011, Debra Gronotte of Burlington, Kentucky reported that her daughter, Sara Frank, 21 and Stephen Wadsworth, 34 (the infant's parents) were in Louisville, where they relinquished control of their 3-year-old daughter, Kylee Frank, to Sara's sister, Kelly Frank (who lives in Louisville).

The two adults, Sara and Stephen, then drove off with Mason Frank, their 3-week-old child in a 2001 silver Mitsubishi Galant 4-door with Kentucky license plates 288-CXM. They have not been seen or heard from since.

The family is concerned the infant's welfare is in jeopardy since both Sara and Stephen are addicted to heroin. Since their disappearance, Gronotte has obtained an Emergency Custody Order for Mason. Due to the circumstances, Mason Frank is deemed a critical missing person.
