LOUISVILLE (WAVE) - Metro Mayor Greg Fischer and non-profit housing developer River City Housing will celebrate the first Louisville home rehabbed with Federal Stimulus funds through HUD's Neighborhood Stabilization Program Wednesday.
One component of the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) utilizes Federal Stimulus money to rehab vacant homes in specific neighborhoods hit hard by foreclosures and abandoned properties. I puts workers in the hard pressed construction trades back on the job.
The home in the 4000 block of Naomi Drive is the first home in that program to be completed and sold in Louisville. The rehab is the work of River City Housing, putting workers in the hard pressed construction trades back on the job.
