LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - JCPS school board voted to have new teachers come into three Louisville high schools.

The measure was approved by the school board on Monday night, February 28.

The goal of the plan is to bring in new teachers who are energetic and committed to Iroquois, Southern, and Waggener High Schools.

Other options looked at by the school board were to close the three schools, transfer management to an outside agency, or link teachers' pay to academic progress.

JCPS Superintendent, Sheldon Berman, says the plan for infusion of teachers is the right decision to make.
