Moped driver expected to recover after collision with Jeep

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A man riding a moped is recovering after being hit by a Jeep Sunday afternoon in downtown Louisville.

An LMPD spokesperson says a woman was driving a Jeep Cherokee westbound on Broadway, but was distracted and ran a red light.

She hit the moped at the intersection of Broadway and Campbell Street.

The moped driver was taken to University Hospital, but his injuries weren't considered life-threatening.

The woman driving the Jeep wasn't hurt. Police do not expect to file any charges.
