NEW ALBANY, IN (WAVE) - The U.S. Supreme Court will not hear an adoption fight involving a southern Indiana couple. On Friday, the justices took a closer look at the "Baby Grayson" case.

Jason and Christy Vaughn of Sellersburg have been caring for 3-year-old Grayson since his birth. Last year, the child's birth father, Ben Wyrembek of Ohio, was awarded custody by that state's highest court.

The Vaughns have been challenging the Ohio Supreme Court ruling and trying to continue the adoption process with Grayson.

On Monday, the high court decided not to pursue the case.
