Student struck across from PRP High School

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - An 18-year-old student was hospitalized Tuesday after being struck by a vehicle across from PRP High School.

According to MetroSafe dispatchers, it happened just after 2:30 p.m. at 5901 Greenwood Road.

Lauren Roberts confirms the teen is a sophomore at PRP High School. She says the student had just gotten off a TARC bus and was struck by a truck as she stepped off the curb to cross the street.

No word yet on what type of truck or if charges will be filed against the driver.

We're told the victim, identified only as a female, was conscious and breathing and complaining of back pain. She was taken to University Hospital.

No word yet on her condition.
