Metro Council president reviews funds including neighborhood grants

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The president of the Metro Council is calling for a review of funds in the wake of the allegations against councilwoman Judy Green.

Jim King has requested a review of all neighborhood grants over $5,000 for the past two years.

The Democrat is also asking a metro ethics committee to ramp up the level of accountability on fund grants.

A recent report found a third party received grants without the councils knowledge.

Judy Green is expected to appear before the ethics committee later in March. She is accused of mishandling money for a summer jobs program and hiring her family.

Green is not facing criminal charges.
