FUKUSHIMA, JAPAN (WAVE) - Japan's health ministry said radioactive iodine in Fukushima's drinking water was one point above government safety limits on March 19. The health ministry said in a statement that iodine levels slightly above the limit were first detected on March 17. Fukushima is the site of the nuclear power plant where workers have been scrambling to prevent radiation leaks after it was damaged by the recent tsunami.
