Tip leads to arrest, seizure of indoor pot growing operation

TAYLORSVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Acting on a tip from Jeffersontown narcotics detectives about a possible indoor marijuana growing operation in Spencer County, Kentucky State Police and J'town detectives visited a residence at 140 Woodlawn Drive and asked for permission to search the home.

That's when they found 85 marijuana plants in different stages of growth.

The marijuana and several other items for cultivating marijuana were seized as well as cash and prescription pills.

Police arrested Johnny Allen Norton of Taylorsville. Norton has been charged with cultivating marijuana (over five plants). He was being held at the Shelby Co. Detention Center.
