LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The Home of the Innocents and the University of Louisville are teaming up to provide medical and dental care to children with special needs.
U of L will provide pediatric primary care services in the new Hockensmith Pediatric Assessment Center constructed for the Home of the Innocents. The center will offer many different medical services under one roof, including dental and psychiatric care, radiology, audiology and family assessment and treatment services.
"The Home of the Innocents has had a long standing partnership," said Gordon Brown, CEO of Home of the Innocents. "It is sort of a one way street because we benefit way more than the university does. They've been like a big brother or big sister to the Home of the Innocents in helping us deliver high quality medical and dental services over the years."
