Green light given to demolish Genny's Diner

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – On Wednesday, the Metro Historic Landmarks and Preservation Commission gave their approval to demolish Genny's Diner so another business will be able to use the property.

The Comfy Cow Ice Cream Shop bought the diner, along with the dilapidated house next to it.

The new owner plans to fix up the historic home for a second location, while knocking down the old diner to make room for more parking.
