LOUISVILLE (WAVE) - Several people had to escape to safety after their car became trapped by rising floodwaters.
MetroSafe says police rolled on a call of high water to Outer Loop and Minor Lane just after 4:05 a.m. When they got there officers found a car abandoned in the roadway, with it's driver and passengers safely out of the car and out of the water.
Crews posted high water signs and have closed that section of roadway.
High water and road closures have also been reported in Cherokee Park and Seneca Park. There is a tree down at 1500 Cherokee Rd.
